Who am I
I’m the Director of Clinical Negligence at Fletchers and a dual‑qualified Solicitor and Chartered Legal Executive. I qualified as a Fellow of CILEX in 2009 and as a Solicitor in 2012, and I have over twenty‑three years’ experience in personal injury and clinical negligence, specialising exclusively in clinical negligence for the last twenty years.
Alongside managing a large team of senior and junior lawyers, I lead our external relationships with NHS Resolution and their solicitors. Since 2018, I have been passionate about improving how we work together, ensuring collaboration is at the heart of everything we do to improve the claims process for our injured clients. This has included pioneering our process for Group Resolution Meetings, through which we have recovered over £27 million in damages for clients since 2018.
I have also been involved in piloting other methods of dispute resolution that have influenced how claimants and defendants deal with clinical negligence claims. As part of this work, I have taken an active role in regional and national collaboration events, which continue to shape how we engage in dispute resolution and play an important part in improving patient safety.
Why I do this work
I am extremely proud to lead a team of highly experienced lawyers who represent the most seriously injured of claimants and to work with them to ensure we achieve the best resolution for our clients. I am extremely passionate about working with NHS Resolution and their solicitors collaboratively to achieve fair resolution for our clients, and about working with them on ways we can improve patient safety.
How I work with clients
I ensure that every client benefits from a collaborative, fair and transparent approach to resolving their claim, working closely with my team and with NHS Resolution to achieve the best possible outcomes.

LOAD MOREWhat I enjoy about working at Fletchers
I joined Fletchers in 2015 as a specialist Clinical Negligence Solicitor and quickly progressed thanks to the firm’s exceptional support, mentoring and career development opportunities. I became a Supervisor, then Assistant Head of Department, then Head of Department, before being promoted to Partner in 2022 and Director of Clinical Negligence for the North in 2025. The culture here is incredibly supportive, and working with such dedicated colleagues is one of the most enjoyable parts of my role.
“I am extremely proud to lead a team of highly experienced lawyers who represent the most seriously injured of Claimants.”
