I’m a Chartered Legal Executive Litigator working within our clinical negligence department. I specialise in complex and high value clinical negligence claims and my work is focused on providing exceptional legal support to clients in need.

I manage my own case load as well as extending assistance to Solicitors within the team, providing valuable assistance with high value, litigated and complex caseloads.

My areas of expertise and interest lie in fatal claims, delay in diagnosis, spinal injury claims, and amputation claims. I find fulfilment in seeking justice for clients and helping them navigate through the complexities of their cases. I’m particularly passionate about assisting clients in understanding their treatment and the circumstances surrounding their injury, often providing clarity and support during what can be a challenging time.

I believe it’s important to seek justice for those who have been affected by medical negligence. Many people are left with life-changing injuries through no fault of their own, and they deserve both answers and fair compensation. Pursuing a claim can also help bring about positive change, as it encourages improvements in care and helps reduce the risk of similar situations happening to others in the future.

X v Manchester University NHS FT (2023)

The client, a 35 year old woman, received £60,000 total damages for the fourth-degree vaginal tear she sustained as a result of the defendant trust’s alleged negligence in handling the delivery of her child in January 2020. She suffered from temporary incontinence and bowel symptoms as well as post-traumatic stress disorder and tokophobia.

X v East Suffolk & North Essex NHS FT (2022)

My client, a 52 year-old woman, received £150,000 total damages for the injuries she sustained following the negligent delay in diagnosis of colon cancer in April 2019, which resulted in a permanent ileostomy. My client suffered from low mood and anxiety and the ileostomy caused her to suffer low self-confidence and had a negative impact on her sex life.

Mrs X v Hywell Dda University Healthboard and others (2025)

Successfully settled a denied, litigated claim surrounding a delay in diagnosis of Choroidal melanoma resulting in the loss of her eye. It was alleged that with an earlier diagnosis, she would have retained her eye albeit without any useful vision. The Claimant suffered significant decline in her mental health as a result of the loss of her eye. £150,000 total damages awarded following a round table meeting following joint statements.

Mrs x v University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (2025)

Successfully recovered £235,000 total damages for the Claimant following an admitted delay in diagnosis of laryngeal cancer resulting in the Claimant undergoing a total laryngectomy. The Claimant had a permanent tracheal stoma and PEG which resulted in severe communication and swallowing difficulties having negative impact on her quality of life.

Mr X on behalf of estate of Miss Y v UHNM & UH Derby and Burton NHS Trusts (2025)

Acted on behalf of the estate and dependent in a fatal matter surrounding the death of a young woman following an admitted delay in diagnosis of a brain tumour dating back to 2000. It was alleged by the Claimant that the delay in diagnosis caused the Deceased’s death. Causation was disputed. The matter was litigated and £500,000 total damages recovered.

My team is very supportive and has allowed me to continually develop my knowledge and skills. We have a strong team culture, where we rely on and support each other, and everyone plays a part in achieving our shared goals.

I enjoy staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Whether it’s walking my dog, heading to the gym, going for a run, or cycling, I like to make the most of my free time by keeping fit. I’m also proud to have been recognised twice as a “100 Hero” by Birmingham Children’s Hospital for my fundraising efforts in support of their charity.
