Who am I
I’m a Partner at Fletchers, and I lead the firm’s specialist Medical Product Liability team.
With over 20 years of experience in clinical negligence and more than a decade specialising in group actions against major pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, I’m a nationally recognised expert in defective medical product litigation.
I’m dedicated to securing justice for individuals harmed by faulty medical devices and drugs. I bring claims under the Consumer Protection Act and in negligence, holding manufacturers accountable for the life-altering injuries their products cause.
What I specialise in
Why I do this work
I’m driven by a commitment to ensuring accountability in the pharmaceutical industry. My work focuses on medical product claims, holding large pharmaceutical companies to account and helping to improve product safety standards. I’m passionate about ensuring that individuals have meaningful access to justice when facing powerful organisations with extensive resources. I have a particular interest in women’s health issues, an area that has too often been overlooked, minimised or dismissed, and I’m committed to advocating for those whose concerns have not been taken seriously.

Outcomes
Group action claim: Transvaginal Mesh Litigation
This relates to a group action involving mesh used to treat stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Marketed as a permanent device it was never intended to be removed. As a result of the product, many women suffered chronic pain, along with numerous other injuries, and many were left unable to engage in sexual intercourse. The majority of women had to undergo complex revision and removal surgeries which caused additional scarring and pain along with a recurrence of the original condition. Lisa led the successful resolution of these claims, restoring justice for the affected women.
Group Action claim: ASR metal-on-metal hip litigation
Group action claim concerning defective metal hip implants that released toxic metal debris resulting in pain, inflammation and implant failure. Clients should have had a hip replacement and be given a new lease of life, instead were confined to worsened pain and mobility even after further hip revision procedures. The claims were resolved by way of a confidential settlement agreement.

LOAD MOREWhat I enjoy about working at Fletchers
One of the main reasons I chose to join Fletchers was its strong, people-focused culture, with clients truly at the core of the firm’s ethos. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed building and developing the team and the department, while being well supported by the firm throughout the process.

Outside of work
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my three children and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a strong interest in health and fitness and regularly attend the gym. I also enjoy cooking and value quality time spent together over family meals at home. Like many, I enjoy switching off at the end of a busy day, with reality TV being my guilty pleasure.
